Health Providers

The team at Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre offers multiple services for community providers. We are available for formal consultation by health providers, either by fax (1-855-388-4437) or through OTN eConsults (after accessing this through OTNhub.ca, search for “Dr. Michael Stephenson” as the consultant). We welcome questions about various refugee health issues and challenges, be they mental health, screening for illness, translating or interpreting immunization records, assisting with services in the KW region, or anything else you struggle with.

We can also do in-office assessments upon request from health care providers or refugee lawyers. Please contact us to discuss the case.

We are always looking for health professionals to donate their time to the centre. We will work with you to introduce you to the health issues affecting refugees, the administrative system, the linguistic-cultural elements at play, and our centre’s own internal systems.  We regret that we may not be able to provide remuneration, but the work is rewarding in many other ways.

If you are ready to commit or curious to know more, please contact us.

*Please note that patients never pay for services provided at SRHC under any circumstance.  We cannot accommodate service providers who would seek to recoup costs directly from patients.
