SRHC is an Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporation approved as a charity by the Public Guardian and Trustee (March 2015). Our application for national charitable status through the Canada Revenue Agency is currently pending.

We have partnered with the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre, a CRA-registered charity that we collaborate with on a number of projects. They have agreed to accept donations on our behalf and can provide tax receipts.
Donations to SRHC may be made securely here on their website, or by writing a cheque to the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre and noting Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre, or simply ‘refugee health’, in the memo line.

We are currently fundraising for a major expansion and repurposing of the clinic space. We want to serve more refugees, bring in more services, and support more centres across our region. We hope to expand our team – both staff and volunteers. Our goal is to create a safe space for refugees to access the care they need when they need it.

And so, to commemorate our 5th anniversary, we recently launched an appeal to our community to help us raise $100 000 for this purpose. As of June 1, 2018, any dollar donated, unless you tell us otherwise, will go towards that goal.

We welcome support in many different forms – financial contributions, in-kind donations, volunteering, or just a kind word. Please contact us for more information.
